'Sup, Dudes!?

Did you know I have a big sister? Yeah, she's so much cooler than my little sister, Billie. Shelly's a surfer and a marine biologist, so she never tries to steal my thunder. Plus, she's got a cool puka shell necklace and anklet. Super cool!

Fun fact: "puka" is the Hawaiian word for "hole." So, the necklaces are basically "hole shell" necklaces…because they have holes that let you use them as beads! (To my knowledge, this has nothing to do with the púca, which is a type of Celtic creature that maybe isn't always scary, but definitely scared me when I was a little kid and learned about it.)

It's okay to be scared of things when you're a little kid, though. I mean, what is your super-awesome big sister supposed to do if not tell you that you don't have to be scared of things? Shelly's super awesome…and super cool. (I was totally a good big sister, too, and certainly never exacerbated any little-kid fears for Billie…) Due to her surfing and marine biology obligations, though, Shelly's been out-of-town for a long time. That's why I haven't mentioned her before…It's definitely not that Brian didn't think of her until a month or so ago.

Anyway, I should go. This has been a beach trip saga, and I don't want to dwell too long. Otherwise, Anna and Siobhán might start talking about my "middle kid energy"…whatever that is…

L8er Sk8ers!
