'Sup, Dudes!?
Brian and I are going to a comic book convention!!! (Brian's other creations are going as well.) That's right! this coming weekend (April 12-13, 2025), Starry Knight Studios will have a booth/table thing at Wicked West Comic Expo in Loveland, Colorado. There, Brian will be selling book forms of his comics (including Volumes 1 and 2 of Libby Sk8er Girl), as well as prints and things. To celebrate this upcoming event, my friends and I decided to cosplay characters from Brandy de Hex: Certified Sorceress.
Now, I know what you're thinking: "Wait…Don't Sherry and Brandy de Hex appear in this comic series on occasion?" Well…yeah…but they also exist in a separate realm of existence and in a comic book, so we can cosplay as we please.
Honestly, the bigger issue I have is that Sherry is actually really annoying to cosplay. The high heels are ridiculous (maybe that's why she actually takes them off a lot), and this hairdo was almost impossible to accomplish. I had to fold my hair over my head, and I used so much gel and hairspray to keep it like this that Sherry's got to be using magic or something…As for Siobhán and Anna…Well, I guess they're co-cosplaying Naomi Chiron, but Anna has gotten the rear-end of that deal.
Anyway, if you want to come and get cool Starry Knight stuff—including cell phone cozies à la moi—consider getting tickets for Wicked West Comic Expo. If you're reading this after April 13, 2025, or you don't have a way to get to Northern Colorado in time, then…alas, so it goes. I still appreciate you!
On a completely different note, did you know that with this one, there are now more episodes/issues/whatever of my titular comic [heh…titular] than there are episodes of Stargate SG•1??? Sure, there's a lot more that went into those 214 episodes of Stargate, but it's still pretty neat. Plus, this was done in about 4 years, instead of 10, so there! (Ironically, though, Brian started watching SG•1 roughly the same time he started making my series, but he still hasn't finished watching it…He's watched 787 episodes of One Piece in the past 2½ years, though! Both are good, but One Piece is One Piece.) Anyway, that's all there is to say about that. Just a weird coincidence…Teal'c would probably say "indeed" or something…Idk. I'll see you next week!
