Libby Sk8er Girl to shows up every Wednesday. You can keep up by checking back here, or by following @bthingsart and/or @starryknightstudios on Instagram!
'Sup, Dudes!?
Did you realize that a new episode of mine has come out every week for 200 weeks??? As of this episode, that is 100% true! Brian doesn't want to brag too much, but I do, so I will:
Sure, there are other web comics that have gone on longer. Hell, even Polarnoids has more episodes than I do. But it's still awesome, especially because that's a lot of episodes, but I haven't become world-famous yet, so you're in on the ground floor of the Libby Sk8er Girl fandom! (Don't become a bunch of dicks, like a lot of fandoms do…Being dicks is stupid.) Isn't that neat?
Also, you know what 200 episodes means, right? Yep! I'm gonna get another book volume!!!! Brian has been working on it as he goes along this time, so it should come out pretty soon, but it may take him a little time to put together the bonus content. He has an idea for it, but hasn't done jack shit to actually execute on it yet.
(Of course, if you're reading this in book form, then the book is already out, and someone has presumably paid for it. If this is the case, then thank you! If this isn't the case, and you're reading it online, then that's fine, but do consider buying the book…)
Thanks for reading my adventures so far! Don't worry, though, I'll be back again next week, because there's no reason to ever stop. Existing is fun, and appearing in silly, one-panel comics is how I exist. (I also exist in the form of my Scribb1es, but it's Libbymas, and I don't want to think about the nuances right now.)
Oh, by the way, that "星" symbol on the star just means "star." Brian added that, because he's obsessed with Urusei Yatsura, by Rumiko Takahashi, which is written as うる星やつら in Japanese. I actually cosplayed as Lum, one of the main characters from that series, in an earlier episode. I was going to just say that Brian is a dork, but maybe we're both dorks? (Then again, my dorkiness is probably due to my being created by Brian, so I shouldn't have to take any responsibility for anything!)
Until I appear again, I hope you have happy holidays and have appropriately participated in the rituals by buying stuff from starving artists. If you didn't, then shame on you!
(I wonder if Brian will ever draw me making out with someone…That could be cool, but I'm not sure Brian knows how to draw people making out, so maybe it wouldn't be cool…)
