'Sup, Dudes!?

For the benefit of readers like Brian's mom, "chibi" is a term from Anime and Manga for characters who are small and cute. According to Wikipedia, it is technically a term for characters who are "super deformed," which kinda makes sense, considering the enormous heads and tiny bodies. (I guess it's "super deformed" in that sense and not in the "severe medical condition that everybody's too polite to actually talk about even though they notice it" sense…which is probably for the best.)

Irregardless, this is what all of my friends and I look like in Brian's attempt at a chibi art style. It has come from him watching too much anime while he's had Covid. At the same time, I think it honestly has some Peanuts vibes, but eh…whatever! The real question is whether Siobhán's rack is getting bigger every time she shows up in one of these…It's hard to judge, since she's only been in two previously, and in this one she's been "stylized"…We must spend a great deal of time focusing intently on this, however, as it is very important! (No, but actually, I think she kinda looks like a satyr/faun in this one…It's probably the black shoes and the hatched pants…) On the bright side, Brian says that Siobhán's actually partly inspired by an anime/manga character—Inosuke from Demon Slayer—so that's interesting!

Really, though, I just like the way you can't see Anna Log's eyes through her glasses. That seems like extremely good cartooning, if I do say so myself, and I can say that, because I'm an autonomous being, and totally not a fictional character whose words are devised and typed out by my creator, who is also the person who draws these comics. I totally exist independently of Brian's imagination!

That being said, we should give Brian's imagination a rest. He went back to his internship today, after over a week of dying from Covid, so he's pretty tired. If he doesn't go to bed soon, Brian's probably gonna vapor lock, like the engine in his brother's old British sports car does whenever it gets hot outside. He's just been going for too long today!
